The Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal for transfer of land in Ghaziabad for construction of a Kailash Mansoravar Bhawan, to be used those undertaking the annual pilgrimage, an official said.
The 8,125 square metre land in Arthala village of Ghaziabad belongs to the municipal corporation and would be given free of cost for the purpose. The construction of such a building was one of the first decisions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after assuming office in March.
The cabinet also authorised Urban Development Minister Suresh Khanna to work on the modalities, including land use change. The land will be transferred to the Religious Works Department.
