It seems like singer Katy Perry is ready to end her feud with Taylor Swift. Perry says she has invited her pop rival to a pre-Grammy party that she is hosting in sponsorship with Spotify.
It is unclear if Swift will accept the invite, but she once boycotted Spotify and pulled her music from the streaming service. Another artiste snubbing Spotify who also gets an invite from Perry is Adele.
"It's just up to their schedules," nytimes.com quoted Perry as saying.
"Artistes are always looking for a way to connect with each other, but we don't get that authentic connection because we're either being pulled or pushed," Perry said of the party.
The feud between Perry and Swift started after the latter talked about a mean girl that inspired her single "Bad Blood". Without giving any names, Swift had said: "She did something so horrible. And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."
Perry fired back with a cryptic message about "Regina George in sheep's clothing" as media quickly referred the unnamed star to her. She later suggested in an interview that Swift's "sweetheart" reputation was nothing more but a media narration.
However, later Swift denied that "Bad Blood" was about Perry as she clarified: "I never said anything that would point a finger in the specific direction of one specific person, and I can sleep at night knowing that."
