"Iktara" hitmaker Kavita Seth, who has worked with her son Kanishk on an album, is happy about the launch of his solo musical career and to see him carve out his own style in music.
Kanishk had released the album, "Trance with Khusrow", with his mother in 2014.
On Tuesday, he launched a new solo single titled "Aane ko hai khaab". He has composed the song, which is about a story of a woman waiting for her husband to come back home to his village.
"What is better than to see your children follow their dreams with so much passion and dedication. Kanishk has grown up with me on stage and I couldn't be happier to see him nurture his musical journey himself," Kavita said in a statement.
"I see him carve his own style in music and that is what is important. Rest everything will follow," she added.
Talking about the single, Kanishk said: "This is my first solo music video and I have never been so excited about it. Having lived in a Hindustani classical environment and being an experimental artiste, I am trying to make a sound of my own by fusing different electronic sounds with soulful compositions," he said.
