The London Marathon, held one week after the Boston Marathon terrorist attack, drew some 36,000 runners. A 30-second silence was maintained before the men's race to pay respect to the victims of the Boston Marathon.

The race has also pledged to donate two pounds for every finisher to the One Fund Boston, which means more than $100,000 will go to help those most affected by the explosions.
