Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday inaugurated two environment-friendly toilet complexes in a slum here.

Built at the cost of Rs.2.42 crore at a slum in south Delhi's Okhla area, the complexes have 101 and 102 water closet toilets each, designed while keeping in view the water conservation policy, a government statement said.

With the latest inauguration of the toilet complex, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government said it has managed to build 38 such complexes in the capital since coming to power in February.

The Delhi Urban Slum Improvement Board (DUSIB), the city government's agency for constructing toilets in slums, said it would build 20 more toilet complexes in these settlements.

DUSIB is maintaining 544 toilet complexes in 775 Jhuggi Jhopdi (JJ) clusters in Delhi.

Building two lakh toilets for women was one of the poll promises of the AAP. It has built 38 so far in nearly one year.
