Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal Thursday met police commissioner B.S. Bassi and demanded an inquiry against BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar who allegedly offered a bribe to an AAP legislator.
The Aam Aadmi Party chief also submitted a letter and a copy of the sting video to the police commissioner at his office in central Delhi.
"AAP legislator Dinesh Mohaniya has demanded immediate registration of an FIR, arrest of Sher Singh Dagar and a thorough probe into the entire incident to ascertain who exactly is the high command with whom Dagar has been shown talking to in the sting video," the AAP said in a letter, which was shared with the media.
The video, released by the AAP Monday, shows BJP's Delhi unit vice president Dagar making a bribe offer to Mohaniya, whose resignation would have brought down the effective strength of the hung Delhi assembly to 66 and given the Bharatiya Janata Party an edge to form the government.
Dagar, however, rebutted the video, while the BJP distanced itself from the incident.
