In line with UN's theme for this year's World Tourism Day, the Ola mobile app for transportation and Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) have come together to promote offbeat locations and raise awareness about responsible tourism.
Ola has rolled out a 14-day campaign, which will see actress Shenaz Treasury travel to seven states, re-discovering 21 lesser-known locations, with Ola Outstation -- cab service for inter-city travel.
The campaign that was flagged off from Bengaluru in Karnataka on September 16, has now entered its fifth leg with Shenaz arriving in Kerala on Sunday where she will be at Fort Kochi, Kodungallur (Muziris) and Kumarakom, before heading to Maharashtra.
"I am certain, this will be an exciting journey of exploring Kerala's palm-lined beaches and backwaters by road with Ola Outstation," said the actress.
Jafar Malik, Additional Director, Kerala Tourism, said it is good to see that corporates like Ola are building commuting solutions that are helping citizens as well as tourists.
Vijay Ghadge, Vice President of Operations at Ola, said that with a solution like Ola Outstation, "we are aiming to make outstation travel as convenient and reliable without having to worry about driving themselves or hassle of looking for conventional taxi-tour operators".
