Kerala Tourism has won the runners-up prize in the 'Favourite Indian Leisure Destination' prize at the Conde Nast Travel Awards, an official statement said on Thursday.
The award was given at a ceremony attended by the who's who of Indian travel and tourism industry in New Delhi on Wednesday, said a press release from Kerala Tourism.
The winners were chosen by the readers of Conde Nast Traveller magazine.
"It is a proud moment to be recognised as the favourite destination by the people who travel around the world," said Kerala Tourism Minister A.P. Anilkumar.
Kerala Tourism Secretary G.Kamala Vardhana Rao said the award was significant as it was based on the assessment of different parameters of travel and hospitality by different individuals.
