Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday inaugurated north India's first M6 Cyberknife robotic system at the Artemis Hospital here, saying that it will be a huge contribution towards the healthcare system in the region.

M6 Cyberknife Radio surgery is a precise, painless and non-invasive radiation treatment. It is extremely efficient for the treatment of inoperable cancerous and non-cancerous tumours, requires no anaesthesia or incision and has no reported risks or side-effects.

On the occasion, Khattar also laid the foundation stone for Artemis Hospital's Tower II.

Lok Sabha member from Gurugram Rao Inderjit Singh and other senior officials from the state were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Artemis Hospitals Chairman Onkar S. Kanwar said: "We take pride in raising the bar of medicine and introducing technology for accurate and better treatment options. With the launch of M6 Cyberknife and a new tower, we are affirming the stature of Artemis as a preferred hospital in north India."

As per the study by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), with increasing rates of cancer in Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh and Haryana, lack of timely diagnosis and efficient treatment techniques have led to many losses of lives.
