North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has ordered production of more solid fuel rocket engines and missile warheads during a visit to a military science institute.
Kim inspected the Chemical Material Institute of the Academy of Defence Science although it did not say when he visited the institute, Efe news cited state agency KCNA as saying.
The facility manufactures intercontinental ballistic missiles warhead tips and develops carbon composite materials for engine jets.
In July, North Korea conducted two intercontinental missiles tests, capable of reaching the US territory, heightening already escalating tensions between Washington and Pyongyang.
