With Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) winning their eighth game on the trot to march into the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL), leggie Piyush Chawla Wednesday asserted that his team boasted of the best bowling line up in the competition.
Speaking to mediapersons after KKR's 28-run win over Kings XI Punjab at the Eden Gardens here in the IPL Qualifier 1, Chawla also expressed satisfaction over his own performance in the game.
"You can say that ours is the best bowling side, because we got quality bowlers. There is Sunil Narine, there is Morne Morkel -one of the fastest bowlers and then there is Shakib (al Hassan),who plays a very important role in the middle overs besides me and Umesh Yadav. Most of the teams go with four frontline and one part-time bowler, while we go with five main bowlers which makes a huge difference," said Chawla.
"People say twenty20 is a batsmen's game, but even if you put 250 runs on the board, if you don't have good bowlers you can't defend that," he added.
Chawla who scored a 9-ball 17 and then returned figures of 1/23 with the ball expressed happiness about his own performance.
"I am happy to have come back strongly after missing out last few games. I came back really strongly scored a few runs in the last over and got the big wicket of David Miller. I am quite happy with my overall performance," he said.

"My funda is to bowl in the right areas because it only takes a good ball to get a batsman out, no matter whether it's a Test match or a T20 game," he added.
Expressing happiness over his team's performance, Chawla said: "Winning eight games in a row is a big achievement, as a team we are on a roll and we are very proud of it".
