Konica Minolta Business Solutions, desktop-to-printshop leaders in advanced imaging and networking technologies, will sponsor the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, the firm announced here on Thursday.

Konica Minolta will take up the sponsorship in collaboration with Smile Foundation to save the under-privileged children as a corporate social responsibility initiative, it said.

A few representatives of Konica Minolta will also run in the event that is scheduled to be held in the national capital on Sunday, November 29, the Gurgaon-based company said in a statement.

The Smile Foundation will utilise the sponsored amount for the education of underprivileged children, thus helping them build a bright future.

Konica Minolta managing director Yuji Nakata said the company, as part of its CSR initiatives, was fully committed to solving social problems through its core business in order to contribute towards the development of a sustainable society.

With this in mind, in collaboration with Smile Foundation, Konica Minolta has been supporting initiatives that benefit deprived children in India, which has the largest number of children globally who do not enjoy the same standard of living or rights as the majority of children do.
