Japanese technology company Konica Minolta on Friday announced that it will showcase its latest products and solutions to bring innovations in printing at the global trade fair "Drupa 2016" in Germany.

The company will launch AccurioJet KM-1, a digital inkjet press that can produce high-quality images comparable to those of conventional sheet-fed offset printing at the event to be held in Dusseldorf from May 31-June 10.

The device can directly print on a wide variety of paper media, ranging from art paper, coated paper and wood-free paper to embossed paper and packaging paper.

It is capable of serving general commercial printing to small-size packaging markets.

The company will also showcase its flagship product MGI's JETvarnish 3DS with iFoil that includes spot UV and 3D tactile varnishing capabilities.

The device can convert regular printed output into high-margin spot UV printed sheets or even higher margin 3D embossed jobs with up to 100 microns of varnish.
