LABEL, Ritu Kumar unveiled 'vintage sportswear' at Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2016 with its theme for the season was sportswear inspired street style. The collection blended Parisian styling and Indian textiles with Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon showing it beautifully on ramp as showstopper.
This pret collection plays with a palette of colourful and soft tones, creating a must have collection for next summer. Outfits included off-shoulder tunics, smart maxi dresses, printed skirts and playful dresses. There were a lot of summer whites and pastels in the beginning of the line, culminating in a splash of tribal inspired prints to cap the show.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the collection, Amrish Kumar, CEO, LABEL, Ritu Kumar, said: "Today, fashion speaks about a certain individuality yet is incredibly connected with the network of people who wear it. Hence, at this presentation of the LFW'16 & SS'17 collection we have invited dynamic young online content creators and fashion influencers to experience the collection on the ramp."
Showstopper Kriti brought a vivacious energy to the ramp in a dress, which is the pick of the LABEL Autumn/ Winter '16 collection. The dress, inspired by the patterns & motifs of Kashmiri weaving, looked exquisite on her.
