Mobile handset-maker Lava International Limited on Tuesday launched two new smartphones -- Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 -- to further expand its popular entry level smartphone series.
Priced at Rs.4,249 and Rs.4,899, respectively, Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 are designed to meet the needs of first time smartphone users who strive for a good-looking device with big display and a smooth android experience, a company statement said.
Key features of the phones include 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor, 8GB internal memory further expandable up to 32GB, 512 MB RAM, Android Lollipop- 5.1 operating system, Smart Gesture Control, 5MP rear camera and powerful 1550 mAh Li-ion battery in Iris Atom and 2000 mAh Li-ion battery in Iris Atom 3
Iris Atom features a 10.16 cm display with WVGA 800X480 resolution, while Iris Atom 3 features a 12.7 cm display with FWVGA 854X480 resolution.
The 5MP rear camera in both devices is equipped with modes like panoramic capture and HDR that allows you to click pictures in High Definition. The front camera is 2MP in Iris Atom 3 and VGA in Iris Atom.
Both devices support smart gesture control features that allow a user to launch applications from locked screen.

Iris Atom 3 with its enhanced features offers a lot more. The video PIP feature allows users to multitask (web browsing, messaging) while playing a video in the background.
Also while playing music, users can change tracks and play a song of their choice at the swipe of a finger.
To launch the front camera faster and click selfies, users can simply draw S on the screen. Furthermore, the 'Flash On call' feature allows consumers to never miss a call as the LED flashes every time there is an incoming call, even in silent mode.
Apart from 3G, other connectivity options on devices include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and 2G capability.
Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 will be available across all national retail stores, multi-brand outlets and online platforms.
