Asserting that India has the legislations to tackle sexual harassment cases, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar Wednesday said the law would take its course if an accused was proved to be guilty.

"There are laws in the country to deal with such cases," Meira Kumar told mediapersons on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the platinum jubilee celebrations of the West Bengal Assembly here.

"If found guilty, the law will take its course against the accused," she said, responding to queries about the allegations of sexual harassment levelled against former Supreme Court Justice (retired) A.K. Ganguly by a law intern.
