Malaysia's top shuttler Lee Chong Wei has vowed to bounce back from his defeat to Chinese star Lin Dan in the World Badminton Championship final.
The World No. 1 retired due to leg cramps during the final in Guangzhou Sunday against his arch rival Lin Dan, who won a record fifth world title.
Lee's coaches have slammed the organisers for turning off the air-conditioning during the final that led to the 30-year-old's retirement.
Arriving home on Monday, a disappointed Lee admitted that the heat certainly affected him during the match. He was quoted by Sinchew Daily as saying that he would not blame anyone as he lost the match owing to his own mistakes.
Despite another failed attempt to win his first world title, Lee vowed to bounce back with the 2016 Olympics as the main target.
He said he would take some rest and spend some time with family, but will be back on court soon. He will be representing Mumbai Masters in the inaugural Indian Badminton League beginning in New Delhi on Wednesday.
