After making its mark in the Indian smartphone market, Chinese smartphone maker LeEco has now extended its support to Akshaya Patra Foundation -- a non-profit organisation that is providing midday meals for over 1.5 million schoolchildren in 10 states in India.
As part of "LeEco Day," the firm has made a significant contribution to the NGO to bolster its reach in schools in other states, a statement said on Thursday.
According to the firm, it will ensure mid-day meals for two children for every LeEco device sold.
The mission of the Akshaya Patra Foundation is to reach five million children by 2020 and LeEco hopes to continue its association to help them meet the goal.
