Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Stefan Reinartz has joined Bundesliga German football league rivals Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder played 16 years for Leverkusen and will reinforce Frankfurt for the upcoming season, as he on Friday inked a two-year deal until June 2017, reports Xinhua.
"We are delighted that Stefan has decided to join Eintracht Frankfurt. I am sure that such a quality player with his experience, can give our team an important impetus," Frankfurt's sporting director Bruno Huebner told the club's official homepage.
Reinartz knows the Bundesliga business as he made overall 147 appearances, providing eleven goals and ten assists. He has also represented Germany in three matches.
"Stefan Reinartz's qualities will strengthen our midfield," Frankfurt coach Thomas Schaaf said.
The "Eagles" sit in on the 11th place of the table meanwhile Leverkusen occupy the fourth place, an European Champions League play off spot.
