Paraguayan club Libertad qualified for the second round of the Copa Libertadores football tournament with a 3-1 win over Bolivian side The Strongest at the Estadio Hernando Siles here.
Libertad now top Group C with 12 points, while the Bolivian team are at the bottom with three. Atletico Tucuman are second with nine points and Penarol are third with six, reports EFE news agency.
Right from the start of Thursday's match, the Bolivian team made use of their home advantage and launched several attacks on the visiting team.
But it were Libertad who opened the scoring in the 21st minute, with a goal by Oscar Cardozo.
The Strongest resumed the game in the second half with Raul Castro scoring in the 47th minute, making it 1-1.
Shortly before the match ended, the visiting team took the lead with a goal by Antonio Barreiro in the 85th minute.

Five minutes later Cardozo extended Libertad's lead to 3-1.
