Some parts of Delhi received light rains Tuesday but the weather remained humid and the maximum temperature was a notch above average at 35.5 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast more rains Wednesday.
"There is a possibility of light rains occurring in some parts of the city tomorrow (Wednesday)," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius.
The city received 0.9 mm of rainfall from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday to 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday's minimum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average and the maximum humidity was 92 percent.
Since the arrival of the monsoon June 16, the city has recorded a total of 385.8 mm of rainfall -- 75 percent above normal -- with the highest recorded Saturday at 123 mm.
Monday's maximum temperature was a notch below average at 32.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 26.7 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
