The capital experienced light rains in some parts Monday while the maximum temperature settled at 32.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average. More rains are likely Tuesday
The city received 2.8 mm of rain from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. There were reports of water-logging in some areas of east Delhi, which hindered traffic.
"There has been no major report of traffic jams, but in east Delhi, there are some complaints of traffic due to flooded roads," said a Delhi traffic police official.
The Met office has forecast rain and thunderstorm in some areas of the city Tuesday.
"Light rains and thundershowers may occur in some areas of the city Tuesday," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
Monday's humidity swung between a high and low of 95 and 77 percent. The minimum temperature was at 26.3 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.

Tuesday's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 32 degrees Celsius.
Since the monsoon's arrival in June, Delhi has got 637 mm of rain, 33 percent more than average.
