Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan Sunday called on President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, officials said.
Mahajan called on the president at Rashtrapati Bhavan, her office said in a statement.
She also called on Modi at his Race Course Road residence, the prime minister's office said in a separate statement.
Both the visits were described as a "courtesy call".
Mahajan was Friday unanimously elected speaker of the 16th Lok Sabha.
