Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who has teamed up with Gautham Vasudev Menon for the yet-untitled Tamil remake of Telugu indie hit "Pellichoopulua", says it's been her long-time desire to work with the "Minnale" director.
Gautham will be producing the remake, which is slated to go on the floors soon.
"I'm a huge fan of Gautham's work, especially how he portrays women in his films. It's my long-time desire to work with him. Nobody understands the romance genre like him and I'm really looking forward to commence work on this project," Tamannaah told IANS.
Asked what convinced her to sign the project, she said: "Apart from the fact that it's a new-age romantic comedy that appealed to everybody, it's a story with a very strong female protagonist. When I watched the film, I definitely wanted to be part of its remake.a
To be directed by Senthil Veerasaamy, an erstwhile assistant of Gautham, this project is the second remake Tamannaah has signed in less than two months.
Last December, she signed the Tamil remake of "Queen".
