Lieutenant General D.S. Hooda, General Office Commanding-in-chief (GOC-in-C) of the army's Northern Command, will lead a delegation of military officers to China from December 14 to 19.
"The visit on the invitation of Chinese government is aimed at greater cooperation between the two military forces in areas of mutual interest," Udhampur-based Northern command spokesman Colonel S.D. Goswami told IANS here.
"The delegation will interact and exchange views with senior People's Liberation Army officers. It will visit various military and civil establishments in China, including PLA headquarters in Beijing and Lanzhou military region."
"The delegation will also exchange views on steps to usher in greater peace and tranquility along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh/Xingjiang province of China."
