Madina, a woman from Tajikistan, was the cynosure of all eyes for her fluency in Hindi language at the ongoing 10th world Hindi summit here, as her every word gave the impression that she was a native Hindi speaker.
She told IANS that she fell in love with the language on hearing it for the first time. She learnt it in Tajikistan and travelled to India to develop her expertise in it.
Madina, who did a nine-month course from the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan and is presently studying in a Hindi institute in Agra, wants to be a Hindi translator for which she wants to know the language better and study Hindi literature as well.
She has been residing in India for the last five years. She says she knows six languages and wants to return to Tajikistan and translate Hindi literature into her native language.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th Vishwa Hindi Sammelan on Thursday.
