Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who stood by Sanjay Dutt during his trying times, is confident the actor will make a fresh start after completing his jail term.
Sanjay surrendered at the TADA Court Thursday to serve his remaining three-and-a-half year jail term in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blast case. The actor will be moved to Pune's Yerwada jail.
"Sanjay has decided that he will face his jail sentence with dignity. He will come out with huge energy and activeness. He will again do his best and lead life with a new beginning," Bhatt, who made films like "Naam" and "Sadak" with Sanjay, said here Thursday in an interview.
The Supreme Court in its March 21 decision, gave a final verdict on Sanjay's part in 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. Initially, Sanjay was sentenced to six years jail in 2007, but had his sentence reduced by a year.
The actor has already undergone one-and-half years of imprisonment and now he has to complete the remaining jail term.
