Mobility solutions firm Mahindra Comviva on Saturday announced the acquisition of a controlling stake in Latin America-based Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) for an undisclosed sum.
"We are excited about joining hands with ATS to deliver an enhanced portfolio of innovative mobility solutions in Latin America," Mahindra Comviva chief executive Manoranjan Mohapatra said in a statement.
The acquisition brings the likes of AT&T, Claro, Entel, Nextel, Oi, Telefonica, TIM, Vivo and others as customers into Mahindra Comviva's portfolio, the statement said.
"Mahindra Comviva will strengthen its in-region presence to deliver complete end to end solutions including development, implementation and post sales support capabilities in the Latin American market," the statement said.
Founded in 1991, ATS develops technological solutions for telecom players for intelligent management of communication networks.
Leading telecom operators in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and five Central American countries deploy ATS solutions.
Mahindra Comviva partners telecom operators in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Guyana, Curacao and Peru offering mobile money, prepaid recharge, analytics, messaging and mobile data solutions.
