Only six percent of Indian moviegoers watch animation flicks while the majority of them prefer comedies, a survey said Saturday.

According to the 'Great Indian Filmy Keeda Survey' results, 38 percent of the respondents across all the ages preferred comedy.

The India Film Project has concluded a ten-day online survey across Facebook and Twitter, where over 5,150 participants from 41 cities participated in the survey.

While 18 percent went for action, 14 percent gave thumbs-up to romance and 11 percent watched films with intellectual content, the results revealed.

Only seven percent of the respondents were in favour of drama and six percent of them selected animation.

The findings from the 18 to 25 years age group also highlighted comedy as the dominant choice.
