The makers of Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra-starrer "Quantico" have relocated the production of the popular TV thriller series from Canada to New York after getting lured by the state's lucrative production-incentive program.
With the move, the ABC drama will receive a tax credit that will cover nearly 30 percent of all aspects of production, reports variety.com.
Parts of "Quantico", a suspense drama about a rogue federal agent Alex Parrish (Priyanka), are set in New York. But the show's pilot was shot in Atlanta.
Shooting for the remainder of Season One occurred in Montreal, although some aspects of the show, including its writing staff, were based in New York.
The New York state government estimates that the move will bring more than 200 jobs to the city. According to city officials, 46 episodic TV shows are now being shot in New York, up from 29 one year ago.
ABC renewed "Quantico" last month along with a significant number of its current series.
