West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian colts for winning the junior World Cup crown.
"Congratulations Team India #JuniorHockeyWorldCup champions. So proud of you all. Jai Hind," Banerjee said on her Twitter handle.
Home favourites India produced a clinical performance on Sunday to outclass maiden finalists Belgium 2-1 in Lucknow and clinch their second Hockey Junior World Cup title after a 15-year-gap.
In another tweet, Banerjee congratulated Atletico de Kolkata for winning the ISL title for the second time in three years.
"Congratulations @atletidekolkata. Well done for winning a second time. Best wishes to all participating teams," she said.
