Mamata pays homage to Jallianwala Bagh martyrs

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday paid homage to the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre that happened in 1919.

"I bow my head to all the martyrs, who lost their lives on this day in 1919 at Jallianwala Bagh," Banerjee tweeted.

Hundreds of innocent people were massacred by British troops on April 13, 1919 at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar.
