A man was charged with malicious communications following a police investigation into messages sent to a Member of Parliament, Scotland Yard said on Sunday.
Craig Wallace, 23, who is known as Muhammad Mujahid Islam, was charged with the offence of malicious communications, Xinhua reported.
He was arrested at an address in north London, following an investigation into Facebook messages sent on Thursday, to a MP.
He was in custody and will appear at Hendon Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Police declined to name the MP, but said:"The MP does not represent a London constituency."
