Philadelphia police have arrested a man who is said to have fatally stabbed a member of singer Nicki Minaj's tour crew and seriously wounded another.
Pierce Boykin, 31, was charged with murder on Tuesday in the death of 29-year-old De'Von Pickett, who was killed during a bar fight on February 18 in Philadelphia's East Germantown neighbourhood, reports eonline.com.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Boykin is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, simple assault and related offences.
One of Pickett's fellow road crew members was seriously injured. Police have not announced any motive or what started the fight that began inside the Che Bar and Grill and later spilled outside.
"Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour," Minaj tweeted at the time.
Pickett had also reportedly pulled duty on tours for the likes of Britney Spears, Rihanna and Kanye West.
"Can't believe this is true! One of the nicest, coolest, funniest people I've ever met and toured with! We had so much fun together!!! Sad to lose a beautiful spirit like yours #RIPDayDay," Rihanna wrote on Instagram after Pickett's death.
