A man was arrested on charge of beating up a neighbour and his wife, who are both differently abled, in east Delhi, police said on Wednesday.
Speech- and hearing-impaired couple Devender Sharma and his wife Indu Sharma, who stays on the fourth-floor of a residential building in Mandawali, asked accused Shatrughan and his friends not to consume liquor on the building terrace on Monday night.
Shatrughan, who stays on the second floor, got angry and beat up Sharma and also his wife when she came in her husband's rescue, a senior police officer said.
Devender's mother Pushpa stays on the ground floor of the building, which she owned in full at one time. However, she had sold second and third floor to a builder, who further sold one floor to Shatrughan.
Shatrughan was arrested and later bailed out by Mandawli police.
