A 24-year-old man was arrested here with 290 gm heroin worth Rs 30 lakh in the international market, Delhi Police said on Wednesday.
Pramod Kumar was arrested from a bus stop in Pashchim Vihar in west Delhi where he had gone to deliver the consignment of the contraband to his contact.
During interrogation, Kumar, living in Vijay Vihar in north Delhi, told police that two years ago he came in contact with a drug addict and also started consuming heroin.
He then came in touch with a drug supplier, named Raju, who persuaded him to become a heroin supplier himself and make some easy money.
"Kumar fell prey to Raju's offer," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav said. The arrest was made on June 7.
