A man axed to death three brick kiln workers, one of them a minor, over some trivial matter in Odisha's Keonjhar district, police said Thursday.
The incident took place late Wednesday night at Kaliahata village, about 250 km from the state capital, Telkoi police station chief Jugal Sabar told IANS.
According to Sabar, the attacker and his three victims were working at a village brick kiln. The accused, Baima Munda, had some heated exchange of words with the workers at dinner.
When the three workers were sleeping, he attacked them with an axe and killed them, Sabar said.
Baima Munda has been missing and on the run after the crime, he said.
