In an apparent case of road rage, a man in a car was shot at a state-run toll plaza here, police said Monday.
Gajender Singh, 32, a resident of Jhajjar district in Haryana, was fired at by two men from another car. The victim was in an Indigo car.
The incident occurred late Sunday on the Gurgaon-Farrukhnagar road.
"The man was shot when the driver of the Indigo was paying the toll fee. Two men from the other car, which had halted behind the Indigo, fired two shots," Assistant Commissioner of Police Balwan Singh said.
The victim was admitted in a hospital. He was reportedly in stable condition.
"Prima facie it seems to be a case of road rage. We are going through the CCTV footage," Balwan Singh said.
