Rio de Janeiro will reportedly be home to six of the 56 football matches at the 2016 Olympic Games.
According to a report published by the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper Tuesday, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Brasilia will each host 14 men's and women's matches while Salvador will stage eight fixtures, reports Xinhua.
Rio will host the four semifinals in both competitions and the respective finals, the newspaper said.
Stadiums already confirmed for the Games are the Fonte Nova (Salvador), Mineirao (Belo Horizonte), Mane Garrincha (Brasilia) and Maracana (Rio).
Each venue was used during this year's FIFA World Cup.
Three stadiums -- Itaquerao, Morumbi and Estadio do Palmeiras -- are vying to be among the two Olympic venues earmarked for Sao Paulo.
Organisers are expected to announce the 2016 Games football schedule in November.
