Leading passenger automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki on Monday reported a 29.1 percent rise in its sales for last month.
The company sold 134,209 units during the month under review from an off-take of 103,973 units in the corresponding month of 2014.
The automobile manufacturer's sales during September rose by 3.7 percent year-on-year to 113,759 units.
Domestic sales during the month under review increased by 24.7 percent at 121,063 units from 97,069 units sold in October 2014. In September domestic sales were up 6.8 percent at 106,083 units.
Exports went up by 90.4 percent in the month under review with 13,146 units being shipped out -- up from 6,904 units sold abroad during the corresponding month of 2014.
The exports during September receded by 26.6 percent to 7,676 units.

The sales of passenger car segment surged 21.5 percent to 97,951 units sold during last month - from 80,589 units off-take in the like period of 2014.
The company's passenger car segment comprises of brands like Alto, WagonR, Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Baleno, Dzire, Dzire Tour, SX4 and Ciaz.
The off-take of utility vehicles which comprises of brands like Gypsy, Ertiga, Grand Vitara and S-Cross rose by 56.5 percent at 9,435 units from sales of 6,027 units during October 2014.
The sales in the van segment, which includes Omni and Eeco, increased by 30.8 percent at 13,677 units from an off-take of 10,453 units in the corresponding month of previous year.
The company's scrip at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was up by 0.83 percent at Rs.4,485.50 around 3.00 p.m. from its previous close of Rs.4,448.65 on Monday.
