After three seasons of "Masterchef" being liked by the audience, its junior edition - "Junior Masterchef Swaad Ke Ustaad" - is coming soon and will showcase the cooking abilities of children between the ages of eight to twelve.

Talking about how the children are different, judge Vikas Khanna said that nowadays kids have many more resources than what children had earlier.

"These are today's children. They can do anything. They have access to so many resources today. Their level is way higher than what ours had been," he said during the launch which was held here Monday evening.

Judge Surjan Singh Jolly added that he was very "shocked" to see the children doing so well.

"I was thinking if these kids will be able to cook. I was so shocked to see their commitment, passion and positivity," he said.

The third judge Kunal Kapoor said that he was not able to criticise much in their cooking.

"If you want to do something big, it must start from a junior level. Their hardwork was so much that we couldn't criticise them at all," he said.

The launch also saw various cooking contests being held between the children and adults from the media.

The show will be aired from Aug 17 on Star Plus.
