Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday asked the women staff in the government to help her make the state one of the best administered in the country.
Three days after she became the state's first woman chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti interacted with the women staffers at the Civil Secretariat here.
She urged them to support her efforts to transform Jammu and Kashmir as one of the best governed states.
The chief minister also said that she was pleasantly surprised to see the large number of women employees in the Secretariat.
"I am always accessible and the doors of my office will remain open for you," she told the women staffers.
On the request of the women employees, she issued orders to establish a Grievance Cell in the Secretariat to deal with complaints registered by women.
"The women staffers expressed gratitude to Mehbooba Mufti for her kind gesture in organising the get-together," an official statement said.
