Heat wave conditions continued in several parts of Odisha Saturday with a town recording a maximum temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius, the day's highest in the state.

Titilagarh town in Bolangir district, about 400 km from here, was the hottest place in the state Saturday, a senior official of the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre told IANS. The town recorded a maximum of 41 degrees Celsius a day earlier.

The heat is likely to prevail in some parts of the state over the next two days, he added.

Four other places -- Sundargarh, Talcher, Bhawanipatna and Malkangiri -- also recorded 41 degrees Celsius Saturday.
