Actress Meryl Streep won the Icon Award at the 25th Palm Springs International Film Festival.
The 64-year-old won the award Sunday night and admitted that in real life she doesn't feel like an icon, reports contactmusic.com.
"My four children remind me everyday that I am not an icon. I don't feel like an icon. Most of the days I feel like 'I can't.' (But) I feel, like, I'm an example now in my dotage of the fact that you just can't put those old gals out to pasture. We've got a lot of stuff still to say," Streep said on receiving the trophy.
Streep is known for her performances in "The Deer Hunter", "Kramer vs. Kramer" and "Sophie's Choice".
