German football club Mainz have signed midfielder Pierre Kunde from Atletico Madrid with immediate effect.
The Cameroonian international has penned an undisclosed contract as both sides on Friday agreed to keep silence over further contract details, reports Xinhua.
"With Pierre Kunde we have found our desired candidate for the central midfielder position. He is dynamic, robust and dangerous in front of the goal. We have observed him for a long time," Mainz sporting director Rouven Schroeder said.
The 22-year-old midfielder played on loan at second division outfit Granada where he scored five goals in 37 appearances last season.
"The conditions in Mainz are excellent to take the next step in my career. I am very proud to be with a good club in the Bundesliga and I am looking forward to my first matches," Kunde said.
His new club completed the Bundesliga season 2017-2018 at 14th place in the standings.
