Militants in Jammu and Kashmir are now dumping their AK-47 assault rifles and replacing them with Android phones, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Monday.
"The power of the ballot has defeated the power of bullet in Jammu and Kashmir," Modi told a Bharatiya Janata Party election rally here in Jammu region.
"Misguided youths who have AK-47 in their hands are throwing away AK-47 and replacing them with Android phones," he told the 50,000-strong meeting.
The third phase of the assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir will take place Tuesday.
