Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra says it's a brave decision to release "Sixteen" with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's much-talked about mega project "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag".
Raj Purohit directed "Sixteen" is coming out Friday and will compete for the top place with "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" and Anurag Kashyap's "Shorts".
"Every film has it's own place. 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' is a damn good film. Rakeysh has made a very good film and Farhan (Akhtar) is brilliant and I really like Milkha. Hopefully, everything will do well," Mishra said at the screening of "Sixteen" Wednesday.
"If there are two films, they have their respective places. People will see both the films. But it is a remarkable thing to release your film with '...Milkha...', a brave decision," he added.
"Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" is a biopic on former Olympian Milkha Singh, while "Sixteen" talks about early loss of innocence among children nowadays.
"Shorts" is a bouquet of five short films made by five different directors.
