State-run enterprise MMTC on Wednesday reported a net loss of Rs 7.01 crore for the first quarter (Q1) of 2016-17 (FY17).
The company had earlier reported a net loss of Rs 30.55 crore for the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
According to the company, its total income from operations for the quarter under review increased by 36.67 per cent to Rs 2,782.18 crore from Rs 2,035.56 crore earned during Q1 of 2015-16.
The firm's total expenses for Q1 rose by 35.08 per cent to Rs 2,810.32 crore from Rs 2,080.42 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal.
