An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale rocked eastern Indonesia on Tuesday, an official said.
"The tremors were moderate and it did not cause any damage," Xinhua quoted a spokesman of Indonesia's Meteorology and Geophysics Agency as saying.
The quake did not have the potential of triggering a tsunami, the official added.
The epicentre of the quake was 71 km northeast of Sangihe island in North Sulawesi province and its depth was 71 km under seabed.
