Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Germany's capital Berlin on Monday, where he will hold bilateral talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Modi will also visit a science and technology academy in Berlin and look at the extent of modernisation in the railways there.

Modi and Merkel on Sunday inaugurated the Hannover Messe, the world's biggest industrial fair. India is a partner country at the fair this year.

The prime minister made a strong push for the "Make in India" initiative in Hannover. "We will make it easy to do business in India. And, we will always be eager to listen to your feedback," the prime minister said during the opening of the Hannover Messe.

On Monday, the two leaders jointly inaugurated the India pavilion at the fair.

"Come to India, increase your partnership with India and make use of this opportunity India offers to scale new heights of success," Modi said after inaugurating the India pavilion at the fair.

Inviting more German companies to invest in India, he asked potential foreign investors to come to the country to see for themselves the easing of India's regulatory environment.

"Indo-German partnership should and will flourish. My advice to you is come and feel the change in India's regulatory environment," Modi told an Indo-German business summit here on Monday.

Modi will arrive in Canada on the third and final leg of his three-nation tour on Tuesday, where he will hold talks with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
